How to brief a website that earns its keep

A useful brief is short. Tell us the business, the town, whether you already have a domain, and the one thing the new site has to do this quarter.

Screenshots of a competitor you like are more useful than a 20-page brand document. We need to know who is arriving, what they should do, and what happens after they do it — a call, a booking, a checkout.

If you have old content, send it. If you do not, say so. We would rather write honest service pages than wait six weeks for copy that never arrives.
